Unboxing is exciting: first look at 2 new books and first public look tomorrow (Beerwah)

What can I say? It’s taken more than 4 years (twice as long as I promised) but I’m releasing two new books this month:
Book 4 in the Belleville family series – HEIRS AND SUCCESSORS
and
Book 1 in the NEW Philippe Duval series – FIRST BORN SON

HEIRS AND SUCCESSORS begins in 1968, 8 years after the end of Book 3, RETURN TO PRIOR PARK.

OFFICIAL LAUNCH DATE: 15 September 2023

FIRST BORN SON covers a parallel timeframe with HEIRS AND SUCCESSORS; however this book focuses on the Julia Belleville/Philippe Duval relationship.

PRE LAUNCH OUTING:
Tomorrow (Saturday 2 September 2023, from 12.00pm) I’ll be participating in the DEAR READER event at the Beerwah Library, hosted by the Sunshine Coast Library. https://library.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au/whats-on/dear-reader

If you live on the Sunshine Coast, I hope you’ll take the time out to visit the event. Click on the link about to find out the details.

I have lived with these books for four years – initially it all started out as one book until I woke up one day and realised I had a manuscript topping 300,000 words. Let me tell you – you don’t want to be tackling a book of 300,000 words when you just want to read for entertainment. So the Philippe Duval story took on a life of its own once I realised it was too difficult to compress the story into a book where it didn’t quite belong. Philippe Duval was always the outlier in the Belleville family. A lot of FIRST BORN SON is focused in America. It is to be followed next year (2024) by PRICE TO PAY.

And the Belleville family? Well, I think you’ll find some surprises in store.

I’ve had the most tremendous fun writing these books. I hope you enjoy them. If you do, tell your friends. If you don’t, tell no one.
